NPC Readies Mega Methanol Plant in Iran

National Petrochemical Co.(Tehran) subsidiary Zagros Petrochemical Co.is in the process of commissioning its 1.65-m.t./year methanol plant at Bandar Assaluyeh,Iran,an NPC official says.The startup of the plant,as well as softening demand and the return of normal operations at other plants,is expected to provide some relief to tight market conditions worldwide,and put a brake on rising methanol prices,market players say.
