摘要

We read with great interest the article entitled "Effect of the 2009 Influenza A/H1N1 Pandemic on Viral Respiratory Infections in the First Year of Life," recently accepted for publication in this journal. The study concluded that the 2009 influenza A/H1N1 pandemic had no impact on the viral epidemiology of respiratory infections in healthy infants in the first year of life and highlighted the increased parent-initiated healthcare visits as one of the probable reasons for the increased detection of respiratory episodes during the pandemic.
