Germany’s chemical industry trade association VCI (Frankfurt) says that Kurt Bock, chairman at BASF, has been nominated as president of the organization. The presidency is for a period of two years, according to VCI bylaws. The current president, Marijn Dekkers, chairman of Bayer, will continue in office until the election of a successor in September. Dekkers is stepping down from his role at Bayer on 1 May.
