The best way we can honour Dr.Borlaug now is by continuing his fight against hunger and poverty with vigour. A cutely aware of hunger and poverty around the giobe, Dr. Norman Ernest Borlaug dedicated himself to a life of service to humanity He was trained like most other scientists, receiving a Ph.D. in plant pathology in 1942 from the University of Minnesota under the tutelage of Dr. E. C. Stakman; yet, he was different.
