Charles Cleghorn Ltd is the UK representative for Cav-iDyne LLC, with over six years' experience of supplying the North Sea and a wide variety of commercial diving operators, and manages the CE marking of all CaviBlasters. Over the past ten years, the US company, Cavi-Oyne. has developed a range of CaviBtaster equipment using the power of cavitation to remove underwater fouling. Cavitation is the formation of vapour bubbles when water pressure is sharply reduced, the collapse of the bubbles releases the energy that removes hard and soft marine fouling from all surfaces. Independent tests in the North Sea have shown that a cavitation system will remove all fouling in one quarter of the time taken by a conventional high pressure blaster using the same input power.
