HOW I'VE TRIED TO REMAIN COMPUTER ILLITERATE ...AND OTHER SMALL FAIRY TALES

I'm proud to say that, in this day and age, I've tried to remain computer illiterate! Dealing with computers at work has become mandatory; however, that doesn't mean that I want to bring them home with me. Besides, I don't like it when a machine laughs in my face because it is smarter than I am. I remember when my favorite, open-minded third grade school teacher (it was 1970) very astutely explained to twenty-five restless, yet eager, children the concept of the "world to come." She told us that in the not-too-distant future people would be able to stay in their own homes and feel as though they were actually experiencing adventures. She continued to explain what sounded (to us) like a Twilight Zone episode.
