A NEW hand-held instrument for quality control of plastics and paints is said to be first of its kind to measure color (45/0 deg and sphere geometries) and 60 deg gloss simultaneously in compliance with ISO,ASTM,and DIN specifications.The Spectro-guide from Byk-Gardner USA,Columbia,Md.,displays color and gloss values together,which makes it easier to clearly determine the cause of a mismatch.
