Sales down 20% in 2008/Commitment to polyamide

Sales of PA specialist RadiciGroup(Bergamo/Italy;www.radicigroup.com)fell to EUR 957m in 2008,a 20% setback against the 2007 figure of EUR 1.19 bn,CEO Angela Radici said in a preliminary report.Details of earnings were not disclosed.The Chemicals segment,which comprises polyamide and its starting materials,reported sales of EUR 323m.No sales breakdown was provided;however,Chemicals accounted for 30% of the total,which would place the segment's revenues at around EUR 357 m.Plastics accounted for 14% of the overall sales figure,while Fibres accounted for 56%.
