Forecast: European Investment Casters Report Sales Off 20-30% From Early 2008; Recovery Expected 2011 or Later

At the recent European Foundry Association (CAEF) meeting, most countries reported that foundries were on average between 20 and 30% down from the corresponding period of 2008. All were expecting little change in 2010 and did not expect recovery up to 2008 levels until 2011 at the earliest. Further growth was not expected until late 2011 and well into 2012.
