Two years after it announced its IPO filing intentions, American global material producer Styron (Berwyn, Pennsylvania; www.styron.com) has changed its mind and withdrawn its papers from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). In a response to a PIE query, a company spokesperson said the plans had been lying dormant since 2011 and the SEC recommended that Styron rescind its request.
