Senators Introduce Chemical Security Bill Encouraging 'Inherently Safer' Technology

Four Senate Democrats introduced legislation March 30 that would require owners of chemical plants to improve security at their plants and,where possible,to use safer technology.The Chemical Security and Safety Act was sponsored by Illinois Sens.Barack Obama and Dick Durbin,and New Jersey Sens.Frank Lautenberg and Bob Menen-dez.
