Spain's La Seda plans to acquire the European PET business of Australia's Amcor for Eur425million (575 million),underpinning the Barcelona-based company's commitment to integrate its resin business both up and downstream.La Seda has already achieved its 2003 stated aim of becoming the largest European producer of PET operating around 980,000 mt/year of resin capacity across Europe.
