National Toxicology Program Seeks Comment On Proposed Changes to Carcinogens Report

The National Toxicology Program Aug.17 proposed changes to the process by which it develops its periodic Report on Carcinogens.Public comment on the proposed changes will be accepted through Sept.18,NTP said in a Federal Register notice (71 Fed.Reg.47,507).The proposed changes resulted from the program's review of its procedures and processes,its implementation of Information Quality Guidance issued by the Office of Management and Budget in 2001,and recommendations from OMB in 2004 to increase the transparency of the National Toxicology Program (28 CRR 1207,11/29/04).
