A new generation of advanced polyethylene rotomolding compounds reportedly yields parts that are substantially stronger and staffer than parts of similar thickness molded of conventional metallocene-based MDPE.TekTuff SPA compounds from Teknor Color,Pawtucket,R.I.,reportedly offer molders the opportunity to reduce part weight by 10% to 15%.While Teknor's standard TekTuff compounds also provide this thin-walling capability,new TekTuff SPA compounds are said to require an average of 12.5% less oven time to melt,fuse,and develop optimum properties in the mold.
