Employee complaints are 'hot potato'

OSHA inspections are more likely to occur at businesses that are experiencing labor unrest So says a study completed last August by the United States General Accounting Office (GAO). The GAO does not go so far as to say labor unrest causes inspections, but there is no question that when one or more employees are at odds with their employer for any reason, there is a chance that safety complaints will be raised. OSHA responds to such complaints. So does MSHA.
