PURPOSE: A process for preparing a potato hot dog is provided by mixing potato as a main material with meat, salt, vegetable powder, wheat flour, corn starch, lard or the like, thereby the subject hot dog is produced at low cost. CONSTITUTION: This hot dog is prepared by mixing 25 to 65% by weight of kneaded potato, 10 to 27% by weight of meat, 1 to 3% by weight of salt, 1 to 5% by weight of vegetable powder, 5 to 10% by weight of wheat flour and corn starch, 1 to 3% by weight of the white of an egg, 3 to 10% by weight of barley powder and 1 to 5% by weight of lard, forming and rolling on the stick.
