It is no longer enough for business to be expected to behave and operate responsibly, it now needs to be seen to be doing so through their corporate social responsibility (CSR) policies and reporting mechanisms. Some see CSR as no more than a glossy exercise in impressing customers, clients and maybe even investors but an effective approach to CSR represents the basis of a sustainable model of working. However, tools to support a company's CSR policies are relatively few and far between compared, say, to environmental or social reporting standards.
