BOTTLED WATER: PANACEA OR A PLAGUE?

The term "bottled water" includes various types and sizes of containers in which drinking water is transported to market for public consumption. In the United States (U.S.), bottled water is considered a packaged food and thus its production is regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Bottled water labeling is based on type of water source according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) classifications.
