Fear: Critical Geopolitics and Everyday Life

摘要

The aim of the anthology Fear: Critical Geopolitics and Everyday Life is for me a welcome effort to problematise and disentangle the complex relation between geopolitics and everyday fears. Based on a conference held in Durham, UK, in 2005, 16 articles are published on the theme of fear, framed by an introduction and an afterword by the editors. The collection seeks to place concerns about terror in perspective, as a response to the trend of making terror and fear a global political driving-force.
