31806 to return for MHR'Santas'

Sr U class 2-6-0 No. 31806 did not run in November but is expected to debut working Mid-Hants Railway'Santa'trains. The delay was in preparation and painting of the tender from the Maunsell Locomotive Society's SRU class No. 1618 loaned by the Bluebell Railway. No. 31806's own tender, damaged in the July fire at Ropley, has been sent to the Flour Mill works for repairs. With the U class completed, the overhaul of 4MT 2-6-0 No. 76017 is picking up pace with the frames shotblasted at Ropley.
