Brown is 'wrong on productivity'

Treasury figures on the productivity gap between the UK and the US have been exaggerated, industry leaders told chancellor Gordon Brown this week. A delegation, led by the Engineering Employers' Federation and representing 22 manufacturing trade bodies, told the chancellor early findings from an EEF study into productivity in both countries showed the gap was nowhere near as great as claimed.
