Disability Access Concerns Seen for Internet Freedom Order

Telecommunications for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Inc., and nine other consumer advocacy groups representing those with hearing loss, cognitive disabilities, and cerebral palsy issued a statement Dec. 1 expressing concern that the plan by the FCC's Republican majority to reverse the agency's 2015 open Internet order will mean that Internet service providers could block subscribers from using video calling services like FaceTime and Skype, captioned calling services, or videos with closed captions.
