Viessmann starts tube production in China

In November 2009, the heating systems manufacturer Viessmann opened its new factory for vacuum tubes in the vicinity of Beijing. Construction works on the new site had lasted twelve months. In the autumn of 2008, Viessmann purchased the shares of the German manufacturer Eurocol in the Chinese joint venture Eurocon and thus became the sole shareholder. From 2010 onwards, around 300 employees will produce 650,000 vacuum tubes, which Viessmann will assemble into collectors. For 2012, the company aims at a production volume of one million tubes.
