Green tea gets GRAS

An independent panel of scientific experts have concluded that Kemin's green tea extract AssuriTEA is generally recognised as safe (GRAS) based on scientific procedures under the conditions of use proposed by Kemin. This allows AssuriTEA Green, already available as a dietary ingredient for use in dietary supplements, to be used in a wide variety of beverages, including: soft drinks, sports and isotonic drinks, energy bever ages and fruit and vegetable juices.
