Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) is responsible for building and maintaining sustainable facilities for the Navy, and serves as the lead systems command for the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command along with the Army Corps of Engineers. The command is one of only two construction agents for the Department of Defense. With an annual volume of business totaling $11 billion, NAVFAC comprises about 17,064 civilian and 1,279 military personnel and 478 contractors, and is the community lead for 7,631 Seabees and Civil Engineer Corps officers.
