PROMOTING INDIAN CULTURE THROUGH SCIENCE TEXTBOOKS

摘要

Not only political history, but also the history of science and technology belongs to the culture of a nation. The science textbooks of the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) are analysed to show the contribution of Indian and Western scientists as presented in these books. The results are not in favour of India. Some suggestions are made to improve the situation.
