There are several strands to risk, such as risk assessment, risk theory, risk management, and risk communication. The present book, edited by Jens O. Zinn, focuses on an interesting and important aspect of risk, that is, theories of risk and uncertainty. The contributors of this book include many well-published risk researchers. The book has seven chapters, three of which were written by the editor himself. What makes this book more interesting than many others is the multicountry author contribution. Assuming that their institutional affiliation is the same as their nationality, the participating authors in this book are from countries such as Australia, the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
