I would love to tes-tify at one of those pointless Congressional hearings that are nothing more than circus acts where politicians pepper railroad professionals with uninformed opinions and orchestrated questions designed to ensure that re-election campaign donors keep the money flowing. Facts be damned. Reality be ignored. "Constructive discussion" be reduced to an oxymoron. Civility and decency be mocked. Line of questioning be relegated to non-sequitors. Answers be cut off in mid-sentence by the next dumb question or statement. Where the role of one testifying is "open mouth and allow words to be inserted, while one is being disrespected." And oh, yeah, after you've been whacked around like a pinata, the attack-puppy, baseball-bat-wielding Congressman will walk up to you, smile, shake your hand and thank you for your input.
