Metrolink starts Victoria rebuild

On February 21 the Metrolink stop at Manchester Victoria is due to close for a nine-month rebuilding project, which will see the Metrolink tracks through the station realigned and the stop upgraded with two new island platforms to increase capacity. The work will also provide an additional track to interface with the Second City Crossing. This is being carried out in conjunction with the £44m refurbishment of the main line station by Network Rail.
