There is currently widespread concern regarding the condition of our ageing sewer collection networks.rnMany of our existing sewer systems are under considerable stress due to rapid urban growth, or due to the deterioration of aging infrastructure, with areas of some sewer networks dating back nearly 100 years.rnRenewed interest in urban development and gradual land use changes have resulted in a drastic increase in loads on networks that were not designed to sustain these additional flows.
