Hammersmith's Rational thinker

The London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham plans to build 12 houses based on an architect's prototype of an "ideal 21st-century dwelling". Robert Dalziel developed the Rational House model as an alternative to poorly designed high-rise housing, after carrying out research into the most successful urban residences from nine cities across the world. The Rational House is low-rise, built of sustainable materials and has flexible walls so room size and shape can be altered once constructed, to allow for occupants' changing needs.
