摘要

In the past decade (since the first edition) the mechanisms for reporting have radically changed, and the internet now enables much more information to be provided to an ever-wider range of stakeholders. The thorough approach of the book makes use of statistics and semiotics to develop a methodology that should be of interest to those concerned with corporate reporting, corporate social responsibility, accounting research or semiotics. The issues and processes are critical, but it is also vital to recognise that the increase in data and information makes it even more important to be confident that the right questions are being addressed in the first place, then effectively integrated into the strategic planning processes.
