White precast stainless reinforced concrete formwork: 20 years on

White concrete, 50 mm thick with a sand- blasted finish provides the permanent precast formwork for all the exterior faces of the 15 storey building at 1 The Terrace, Wellington, New Zealand. The colour, texture and strong Architectural lines create an impressive Structure. The formwork is reinforced with Stainless steel, the cover to which is only 20 mm. Production was completed in 1977 and the building officially opened in 1979. In 1995 an inspection did not detect any corrosion.
