Nicholson: Lincoln Electric is renowned worldwide so I guess when I picked up my first Fleetweld 5P back in the late '80s to put in a root pass would be the start of my pipelining career. P&GJ: How does you feel to be the first person outside of the Klinger family to hold the position of publisher since the company was founded in 1908? Nicholson: Humble, very honored, and extremely excited P&GJ: How would you describe your leadership style, and how has it evolved through the years? Nicholson: I've been very fortunate to have some fantastic mentors over the years, all of whom have stamped their little bit onto who I've become. I really focus on three simple rules: listen - because everybody as a voice; surround yourself with great people, then get out of their way; and finally, mentor - because you want to make sure that the apprentice can finish the work of the craftsman.
