Best K-l2 School: New Sandy High School

Thanks to a population surge in Sandy, Ore., between 2000 and 2010, the local high school had become overcrowded. To accommodate the growth and give students a more inviting place to learn, the city announced plans in 2010 to build a state-of-the-art 310,000 ft~2 (28,200 m~2) high school facility that could house 1600 students with support space for an additional 200, along with a gym and a performing arts center.
