The aim of the series of books from which this very stirring and inspiring publication comes is to avail readers of the experiences of adults with Asperger Syndrome (AS) on pertinent life issues. The intent is that services and individuals can learn how to set up and improve support systems for them. This particular volume focuses on AS and employment.rnIn her preface to the series (a further ten related volumes), co-editor Genevieve Edmonds explains that as an adult with Asperger Syndrome and someone working within the field of autism as a trainer and consultant, she is all too aware of the situation currently facing adults with AS. For the majority, it is characterised by a lack of understanding, support, respect and appropriate services.
