摘要

A technique is proposed for imposing a boundary condition that provides the excitation and absorp- tion of plane waves and eigenmodes in a rectangular waveguide. The waveguide is filled with an inhomge- neous dielectric whose permittivity may be greater or less than the permittivity of vacuum. This boundary con- dition is suitable for application in the Rτ-grid method used for analyzing the electrodynamic properties of two- dimensional (2D) structures in the time domain.
