Do we at last have a care bill we can do business with? The latest announcements from the Government seem to be setting the right tone, but those of us who have been in the sector for some time may well take it all with a pinch of salt until we see concrete change. There has been much talk over the last two decades, but not enough in the way of substantial change. One crucial and welcome element is the recognition (at last) of the 'suitability of living accommodation' when it comes to assessing wellbeing. Housing providers have long been urging central and local social care and health providers to be more joined-up in their approach to services in relation to housing.
