I have fitted 13-inch wheels to my 1999 Mini Cooper and am upgrading the suspension to suit. Has anyone tried or tested the coil spring conversion (replacing the rubber cones) and are they a worthwhile mod? The coil spring set-up manufactured by Minitastic is a good system and works very well. They probably work best with 12-inch wheels, but you can still fit them with 13s. Go for the stiffest set of springs. The ride is still good and there is much less body roll than with the softer versions.
