I have a 1984 Mini Mayfair and the interior light and the hazard warning lights all stopped working recently. I have checked the fuses and as much of the wiring as possible and cannot see anything wrong. Do you have any ideas? This is a fairly common problem. The first thing to try is to replace the fusebox. Replacement is straightforward and inexpensive. The boxes cost £14.39 for a four-fuse 1976-onwards pre-injection fusebox (Mini Spares part number RTC440A).
