摘要

The front quarter section of the driver's side outer sill on my Mini has rusted through in a couple of places. I have a new panel but would like to know if I can cut away and replace just the front quarter of the sill and seam weld the new part to the remaining good and rust-free remaining section. I will be spot welding the sill to the door step and inner sill/ floor as per original and seam welding the small upright at the front. Could you tell me if this is acceptable, as I do not want my Mini to fail the next MOT.
