Once more, Governments across the UK are turning to food labelling as a tool to help consumers make better informed food choices. A consultation involving all four UK Governments has been launched, with the deadline to respond by 6 August. Behind this is the knowledge that better nutrition will help consumers to improve their health, guard against risks, such as obesity, and conditions, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, and diabetes.
