L'APPROCHE BALINT : UNE FORMATION À LA RELATION MÉDECIN-MALADE

Cet article résume la rencontre et le travail commun effectué entre les Prs B. Luban-Plozza et M. Balint. L'approche Balint est, aujourd'hui, mondialement reconnue et devrait être utilisée plus souvent dans notre profession médicale. Lors de séances en groupe, il est donné au médecin pratiquant de se sentir lui-même patient en parlant de ses propres patients et de prendre également son rôle de thérapeute grâce au récit d'un autre collègue. La compréhension intellectuelle mais également émotionnelle, l'écoute active par la «troisième oreille», savoir déchiffrer le problème et le «secret de la vie» de son patient sont les bases fondamentales de l'approche Balint.%This article summarizes the encounter and the common work realised by both Pr B. Luban-Plozza and Pr M. Balint. The Balint approach is, today, known world-wide and should be more often utilized in our medical field. During group therapies, the physician is given the opportunity to be himself as a patient, talking of his own patients and being, at the same time, a physician due to a patient history told by another colleague. The intellectual but also the emotional comprehension, the active listening through the «third ear», being able to understand a problem and the «secret life» of the patient are the fundamental basis of the Balint approach.
