摘要

The microstructural behavior of 5N aluminum was studied using cyclic deformation fatigue tests. The results are modeled in terms of dislocation and crystal defects. A purely elastic fatigue machine was built in order to provide the necessary precision to measurements covering 0.000001 to 0.01 strains and temperatures from minus 200 to 200 C. It is shown that at low amplitude the interaction dislocations/solid solution atoms control the deformation while at larger amplitudes the interaction dislocations/dislocations become preponderant.
