The construction of the third series of Armada-type ships, the 7000dwt Captain Nagdaliyev, was completed in Turkey this April. Apart from being categorised to an increased ecological safety mark of ECO-S, its most distinctive feature is the design of its fully-revolving Schottel azimuth thrusters. The vessel's propulsion plant comprises two Wartsila 6L20 main engines, each rated at 1200kW at 1000rev/min, and driving a pair of Schottel SRP 1012FP fixed pitch rudder propellers At a length of 140.0m, a width of 17.0m, a design draught of 4.6m and a speed of 10.5kts, the Captain Nagdaliyev was assigned the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping's own classification of increased ecological safety ECO and ECO-S which are assigned to the safest levels, according to discharges to sea and emissions to air, and where additional measures are provided onboard for preventing environmental pollution.
