La Federation Francaise de la Tannerie Megisserie, aware of the necessity to improve the environment, have created a company (PROCUIR) with an industrial partner to manufacture a leather powder from the tanned waste products of the tanning industry. The factory, situated at Nar-bonne, has been operational since March 15. It was set up as a result of three years of work and collaboration with Ademe and has the support of the Ministry of Industry and the Environment.
