Poppy Jasper

As lovely as the flower it's named for, poppy jasper is a riot of yellows and reds. The most beautiful stones show off patterning reminiscent of a field of blooms blowing in the breeze. Many stones are largely red, ranging from brilliant scarlets to a more subdued brick red. Poppy jasper is a form of orbicular jasper - one having a radial pattern, like an eye. Another orbicular jasper you may know is ocean jasper. Like any jasper, poppy jasper is a form of chalcedony quartz and it is as durable as it is beautiful.
