This is the most recent book to survey the area of motivation in second language learning and teaching and it has been done by two of the best-known and most respected researchers in the field, Zoltan Doernyei and Ema Ushioda. This second edition of a work originally authored by Dornyei alone in 2001 is much more than an updated account of the field through the same lens as the first edition.
