摘要

The Atlas of Human Migration adds to a series of currently 12 volumes that aim at providing cartographic and illustrative overviews of different subjects such as food, water, politics, or of certain regions such as the Middle East or the American Empire. The migration volume mainly evolved from work carried out at the Centre of Migration Research of the University of Sussex, UK. It aims to distill a field as broad and complex as global migration to a series of thematically structured chapters that consist of short text passages, combined with maps, graphics, and photographs. It comes in a brochure format which is a bit larger than the regular book cover but much smaller than usual atlas formats.
