摘要

Significant changes were found in the Theological behaviour of sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) when samples of this water soluble cellulose derivative were heated. The purpose of the study was to investigate the influence of thermal treatment in the temperature interval 110℃ - 130℃ for 0-180 min, on the increase of viscosity of aqueous samples of sodium carboxymethylcellulose and to correlate the changes in the Theological behaviour to other characteristics of thermally treated samples.
